With help from their Master Distiller Dave Pickerell they purchase stock of 10 year old blending Whiskey in Canada that was being misused. With this whisky they started to unlock the potential of the local lands and years of knowledge. WhistlePig today produces Rye whiskey of the highest standard and continues to grow its reputation as one of the most sought after Rye whiskey brands in the world. This 12 Year Old World Cask Finish Rye was the first line of finished Rye Whiskeys released, originally as 3 separate finished Ryes: Sauternes, Madeira, Port. Using 7% Port Finish, 30% Sauternes Finish and 63% Madeira Finish to create a Rye that is symbolic to Scotch whisky. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Vanilla sponge cake with frosted icing, chocolate coated digestive biscuits and toasted oak. Palate: Summer pudding releases raspberries, cherries and strawberries.
