It is however known by many different names, George T. Stagg Distillery and Old Fire Copper Distillery to name a couple. It is known that this distillery was producing spirit back in 1805 and a distillery called Burks Distillery is in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest operating bourbon distillery. During prohibition the distillery was allowed to stay open to produce products for ‘medical purposes’. The distillery produces around 10,000,000 litres of spirit each year which is used mainly to create its signature spirit Buffalo Trace Kentucky Bourbon. This Weller “Craft Your Perfect Bourbon” is the end result of Whiskey drinkers going online and choosing their ideal bourbon recipe, proof, warehouse location and age.
