Volume: 700ml ABV: 52.3% Age: 17 Years Old Country: Scotland Chill-filtered?: Unchill-filtered This limited edition new Springbank 17 year old Sherry Wood has been bottled at cask strength of 52.3% and matured in 100% sherry casks with 9,120 bottles available worldwide. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Did someone say Sherry? This whisky bursts with delicious sherry notes plenty of apple, pear and berries. Gingerbread baking, just ready to be pulled from the oven, marmalade jam made fresh and deep in flavour, slightly salty as the sea air does to the Campbeltown casks and as every great Springbank does it gives us a hint of peat. Palate: The palate has plenty of oily sherry goodness, christmas cake, raisins and sultanas, sticky date pudding and cherry pie excite the mouth. There’s coffee and liquorice (but not sweet, like liquorice root) and creamy toffee. Finish: The finish has it all, more sherry, more toffee but this time a deeper richer toffee with a slightly burnt bitterness. Then there’s the peat.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
