Now there are many bottling’s of Glenrothes on offering at the moment but someone had to produce something a little different to standout, introducing North Star Spirits. This whisky was matured in a refill Sherry Hogshead Barrel. It must a have been of exceptional quality and I have no idea why Glenrothes Distillery gave away this spirit to an independent bottler. It is outstanding whisky. This whisky was distilled in October 1996 and then bottled in October 2016. Only 252 bottles produced worldwide. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Creamy hot chocolate with marshmallows served with milk chocolate coated sultanas. Ginger snap biscuits, cinnamon rolls and fresh coffee beans. Taste: Apple pie drizzled with warm honey. Apricot jam and dark chocolate vanilla toffee. Finish: Butterscotch sweeties, creamy caramel and pear juice.  . For adults of legal drinking age.
