Bottled at 62.4% ABV, this expression has been matured in 2 ex-port casks for the beginning of its life then switched into a 200 litre Bourbon barrel for finishing. The labelling clearly states “Aged in Bourbon” which confused me a little. My mind was quickly put to rest by my good friends at Lark. The reasoning behind it was simple. The bourbon cask truly sings through, adding creaminess and depth to what the port casks brought to the spirit initially. LDF002 is the second of Larks wood finishes. You can tell by the code LDF (Lark Distillery Finish). Being a single cask, there are a very limited amount of bottles available out there, 210 bottles to be exact. Making this an extremely sought after expression from one of Tasmania’s most renowned distilleries.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
