Categories: Bourbon Barrel, Cask Strength, Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Peat Smoke
Volume: 700ml ABV: 54.4% Age: 12 Years Old Country: Scotland If you’ve discovered the 16 year old Lagavulin it’s now time to step into well balanced and probably the best ever bottled peated single malt from this distillery below $200. Lagavulin produces special bottling’s every year and in 2014 they bottled a whisky which had spent 12 years maturing in an American Oak barrel. They also bottled it at cask strength for that added perfection. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Lively, lemon peel, sea spray, salt coated limes, dark chocolate and vanilla. Palate: Malty and plenty of peat smoke, black pepper and salted chocolate. A little burnt toffee a touch of vanilla. Finish: A medium dry finish, some oak and salt with again plenty of chocolate and saltiness.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
