Categories: Bourbon Barrel, Glenturret Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Glenturret 10 Years Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) Volume: 700ml ABV: 40% Age: 10 Years Country: Scotland Glenturret is said to be the oldest single Highland malt distillery in Scotland. It was officially established in 1775, though the site dates back to 1717 when there was numerous illicit stills in Glenturret. It was closed in the mid 1920’s and then resurrected in the late 1950’s by Peter Fairlie who repositioned The Macallan brand globally. Touser, the distillery cat (1963 – 1987), was born in the still hose and was said to be the greatest mouser ever. She is on record as having disposed of 28,899 mice (though it is not clear who was doing the counting) Expect a mellow, full bodied and smooth dram. Usually very light in colour with a balance of old oak, sweet honey, fresh fruits and barley. A new entry into the core range of Glenturret single malt which has replaced the 12 years old. Plenty of fruit and sweet notes with a herbal side to this single malt too. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Toasted porridge oats and warm caramel coated hazelnuts, orchard fruits and grassy herbal notes. Taste: Big and fruity plenty of malty sweetness and honey undertones. Freshly cut hay and dunnage earthiness. Finish: A terrific honey sweetness and fresh malted barley.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
