This expression is bottled at cask strength and it was matured in an American Oak ex-bourbon barrel for 16 years. The Ben Nevis distillery create some amazing whisky but this offering of a 16 year old single cask is extremely rare and should not be missed. Distilled in December 1998 and bottled March 2015 by Douglas of Drumlanrig this single cask single malt is bottled at 54.1% abv and is limited to 231 bottles. Our Tasting Notes Nose: At first a sweetness then orange zest and floral notes. Taste: Freshly malted barley leads to pear drops and vanilla beans. Finish: Quite a short finish with a hint of oak..
