Cardhu Aged 14 Years 2019 Special Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) Volume: 700ml ABV: Age: 14 Years Country: Scotland The word “Cardhu” derives from the Scots Gaelic Carn Dubh, meaning “Black Rock”. Cardhu is a Speyside distillery near Archiestown in Moray, Scotland. The distillery was founded in 1824 by whisky smuggler named John Cumming and his wife Helen. Now run by owned and run by spirits powerhouse Diageo and the distillery’s Scotch whisky makes up an important part of the Johnnie Walker blended whiskies. Released as part of Diageo’s Special Releases 2019 this release from Cardhu Distillery is appropriately packaged. A fragrant floral single malt double matured in ex-Amontillado sherry hogsheads for 14 years. Bottled at 55% abv and only 4,860 bottles were produced for worldwide consumption. Tasting Notes Nose: Floral, herbaceous, sweet, freshly cooked corn chips, big and fruity, fruit salad and summer berries. Taste: Pears and loads of fruity flavours lead to a big hit of vanilla. Finish: Sweet and floral, candy floss or even perhaps Irn Bru!. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
