It is however known by many different names, George T. Stagg Distillery and Old Fire Copper Distillery to name a couple. It is known that this distillery was producing spirit back in 1805 and a distillery called Burks Distillery is in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest operating bourbon distillery. During prohibition the distillery was allowed to stay open to produce products for ‘medical purposes’. The distillery produces around 10,000,000 litres of spirit each year which is used mainly to create its signature spirit Buffalo Trace Kentucky Bourbon. This Bourbon is a batched from no more than 40 barrels at a time and it is produced from their number 1 mash bill. sipping straight, making the perfect Old Fashioned cocktail or enjoying over ice.
