The name ‘Blue Hanger’ was taken from William ‘Blue’ Hanger, Lord Coleraine who was a very loyal customer of Berrys in the late 18th century. He used to wear clothes mainly in shades of blue attacting this knickname. It’s not everyday you have a slender bottle of fine Scottish malt whisky named after you, a great honour. This limited edition bottling is released about twice per year and is always a different with each anticipated release. Move over Johnnie Walker Blue Label and let this man take his place at the top of the table. Crafted from 8 different casks of single malt whisky and very limited. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Peat smoke is evident early with chocolate orange and vanilla pods freshly ground. Palate: There’s plenty in the flavour, lots of fruitiness. Caramels and vanillas, plenty of sweetness and creamy texture and lashings of peat smoke. Finish: A long oily beautiful textured malt whisky with a balance of peat and sweet fruitiness.  .
