This expression is bottled at cask strength and it was matured in a European oak ex-Sherry refill Butt for 18 years. The Ben Nevis distillery create some amazing whisky but this offering of a 18 year old single cask is extremely rare and should not be missed. Distilled in December 1996 and bottled March 2015 by Douglas of Drumlanrig Independent bottlers, this single cask single malt is bottled at 54.7% abv and is limited to 571 bottles. Our Tasting Notes Nose: A wonderfully rich aroma of plums and raisins. Plenty of oak and spice. Taste: Christmas cake with a sprinkle of dried oranges and apricots. Toffee sweetness and hints of fog and currents. Finish: A long finish delivers oak and dark chocolate. A very tasty whisky.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
