Aberlour Aged 16 Years Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) Volume: 700ml ABV: 40% Age: 16 Years Old Country: Scotland This single malt whisky from Aberlour is matured in two casks for no less than 16 years. They use traditional American oak barrels which were previously used to mature bourbon and they use European oak barrels which were previously used to mature Sherry. It is bottled at 40% abv and has won numerous awards including a Silver medal at the IWSC in 2013 and 2014 plus a Gold at the 2013 San Francisco World Spirit Awards. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Floral, honey and vanilla, lashings of sherry. A little nutty with vanilla and toffee sweetness. Palate: Red fruits and Christmas cake, dark chocolate and almonds combines with brown sugar and more vanilla. All spice and a little pepper. Finish: Lush plums, more honey sweetness and dried fruits.
