While originally from the UK, the company also has a bar located in Singapore. Braeval Distillery sits high on pasture land, remote and sheltered. Because of this, illicit stills were common in the area for many years. Originally built by Canadian company Seagrams in 1973 for the Chivas Brothers brand. It was absorbed into the Pernod Ricard portfolio along with Chivas in 2001, after which production temporarily ceased and the distillery mothballed until 2008.
