Categories: Amrut Single Malt Whisky, Cask Strength, Virgin Oak
Volume: 700ml ABV: 62.8% Age: No Age Statement Country: India With only 120 bottles available, this expression was matured in Virgin Oak and bottled exclusively for the Australian market by Amrut for Alba Whisky. It was distilled in April 2010 and bottled in Dec 2015. The bottling will also be held in high regard due to the cask numbering 888. The number 8 is related to the resurrection of the dead, eternal living. It is also symbolic to many countries around the world mainly Chinese and Christian cultures. One to drink and one to keep for prosperity and good health. Our Tasting Notes Nose: There’s plenty of maltiness, poached fruits and burnt citrus skin. A little spicy and very pleasant. You could seriously nose this all day. Palate: The Amrut signature candied fruits comes first, the citrus opens up to a real cracker of a whisky. Mouth-coating and deliciously sweet, stewed stone fruits, figs and sultanas a touch of cereal and a warming spice. Finish: Long, slightly spicy and more delicious fruits. Stunning whisky. . For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
