Volume: 700ml           ABV: 46.3%           Year Distilled: 1996    Bottled: 2015         Country: Scotland This Limited Edition, Ledaig 1996 is bottled at just under 20 years old, matured in american oak and finished in Oloroso Casks.  Distilled at the Tobermory Distillery on the Hebridean Island of Mull, this expression is a exciting mixture of flavours and character.  1996 was the first year that the distillery started using peat to dry their malt, introducing the wonderful smoky character of Ledaig that the world has come to love.  Matured for just under two decades and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks.  This edition is full of spice, rich dried fruits and an explosion of peat. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Rich, fragrant and smoky.  With hints of toffee apples and dried fruits. Taste: Intense smoke, balanced out with sweet sherried flavour with hints of black pepper, dark chocolate and a slight trace of sea salt. Finish: Quite long with elegant bonfire smoke, raisins with lingering salted caramel  at the end.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
