Categories: Bourbon Barrel, Cask Strength, Peat Smoke, Port Askaig, Rare & Collectable Whiskies
Volume: 700ml ABV: 50.4% Age: 19 Years Old Country: Scotland The Port Askaig range are brought to us by Specialty Drinks Limited who were responsible for the Elements of Islay independently bottled range brought to Australia a few years back (which will be back soon I hear). The single malt is produced at an undisclosed distillery however there is plenty of discussion that this is whisky from Caol Ila distillery on Islay. The whisky has been matured in ex-bourbon casks for no less than 19 years. *No presentation box is included in this purchase. Our Tasting Notes Nose: The nose is fresh, sea air, waves of smoke, fresh island air, red fruits and faint peat. Palate: Very luscious on the palate, banana crisps, digestive biscuits, plenty of peat smoke and raw chocolate cake mix. Plenty of mouth coating oils. Finish: Rich, peaty and oily. hangs about for a while. I like it.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
