This whisky was released to the 60th anniversary of Nikka Black. Produced at the Yoichi distillery the traditional method of direct heating distillation was used creating a whisky with a unique aroma and flavour. This whisky is a blend of young whiskies and vintage whiskies including Yoichi whisky distilled in 1956, Coffey Grain whisky which is over 25 years old, vintage grain whisky and sherry cask whisky from the Miyakigyo distillery along with a combination of other quality whiskies. Official Tasting Notes Nose: Sweet smell like chocolate and comfortable peat incense. Mature and mellow unique long-term aged whisky smell. Palate: A gorgeous and rich flavour reminiscent of a dry, smoky peat taste and ripe fruit. The rich body of malt spreads slowly. Finish: Complex and powerful peat reverberation continues.  .
