Nikka Yoichi Japanese Single Malt Whisky (700ml) Volume: 700ml          ABV: 45%          Age: No Age Statement         Country: Japan When Nikka announced they were not releasing any further aged statement bottling’s of Yoichi or Miyagikyo single malt it was a sad time. We can be thankful however as the no age statement releases are now available for us to start to enjoy whisky from these distilleries again. This single malt has been, as you would expect, distilled from malted barley and matured in a variety of casks which include those of new American oak ex-Sherry casks. The quality is still there and the packaging still as appealing. Our Tasting Notes Nose: A fresh scent of malted barley and maple. Soft peat, citrus tea and salted butter. Palate: Toasted bread with salted butter, oven roasted almonds, fresh malty characters. Fresh fruity sweetness and hints of peat smoke and spice. Finish: Long and fruity, some oak and more malty goodness.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
