Ichiro’s Malt Double Distilleries Pure Malt (200ml) Volume: 200ml ABV: 46% Age: No Age Statement Country: Japan The Double Distilleries pure malt whisky combines malts from the closed Hanyu and new Chichibu distilleries. The Akuto family, whose history with sake production dates back to the 17th century, had operated the Hanyu distillery up until 2000 when the distillery was silenced due to financial difficulties and eventually dismantled in 2004 under new ownership. Bottled at 46% it has been matured, vatted and bottled at Ichiro Akuto’s Chichibu distillery. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Plenty of oak with sweet aromas and slightly floral. Green fruits take the lead of pears and apples. Taste: More green fruits and sweetness with plenty of oak. Some spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. The mouthfeel does have a soapy effect. Finish: Lots of sweet spices, plenty of drying oak, liquorice, and creamy mint ice cream.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
