Mars Komagatake 5 Years Old Double Cellars Japanese Whisky (700ml) Volume: 700ml          ABV: 47%          Age: 5 Years Old         Country: Japan This Double Cellars release was distilled at the Mars Shinshu Distillery before some of the whisky was sent off to mature at Mars Yakushima Distillery. Comprising of whisky matured at both distilleries, the name speaks for itself. Matured in American white oak barrels, ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry barrels, bottled in 2019 . Official Tasting Notes Nose: Honey, dried pears, apricot jam,  dark chocolate. Shows a level of maturity that belies the young age. Palate: Some nice spiciness mostly nutmeg, salt and pepper. Cocoa, vanilla, almond flakes, butter, lemon meringue, plums, coconut water. Adding a little water brings out tangy orange and peanut butter. Finish: Nutmeg, almond flakes, lingering cashew nuts and with water the peanut butter.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
