Bruichladdich 2016 Octomore 10.4 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) Volume: 700ml           ABV: 63.5%           Age: 3 Years Old           Country: Scotland           PPM:88 This Octomore is the 4th release in the 10 series and has been produced using 100% Scottish Barley. It has been matured on Islay in French Virgin Oak barrels for 3 years and 1 day making it only just legally Scotch whisky. Distilled in 2016 from the 2015 harvest of Concerto barley and bottled un-chillfiltered and colour free at the Bruichladdich distillery. Only 12,000 bottles were produced for worldwide distribution. Our allocation is extremely limited. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Roasted coffee coated with with dark chocolate, vanilla anglaise, crisp clean smoke blends with a lovely undertone of sweetness. Stewed berries and a touch of citrus. Palate: More oak now and vanilla’s balancing well with the coffee and chocolate. Quite chutney like, Branston pickle or Houses of Parliament sauce. There’s toffee sweetness and a little toasted hazelnut. Finish: The hazelnut lingers with the smoke and sweetness. Some tropical fruits start to emerge with plenty of balanced oak.  .
