John Smith was a very d distiller having worked for The Macallan, The Glenlivet, Glenfarclas and Wishaw Distilleries The local railway is no longer in use and it is now a fine place to take a bottle of Cragganmore and walk though the beautiful local forests. Cragganmore is owned by spirits powerhouse Diageo. Released as part of Diageo’s Special Release 2019 series this tasty smoky number was matured in refill American oak ex Bourbon casks for 12 years before being bottled at cask strength. Tasting Notes Nose: Pineapples, cardamon and smoke balance with lemon, sandalwood and leather. Taste: Big and fruity with honey sweetness and vanilla spice.
