GlenDronach 2008 Aged 12 Years Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Batch 18 Cask No. 8558 (700ml) Volume: 700ml ABV: 59.4% Age: 12 Years Old Country: Scotland The GlenDronach Distillery was founded in 1826 and is located in Aberdeenshire very close to Huntly. It is well known for producing high quality Sherry matured whisky and is currently owned by Brown-Forman. GlenDronach Batch 18 consists of 18 single casks which only a few have made it to Australia. The range consists of whisky spanning a different range of ages and vinatges all selected by Master Distiller Dr. Rachel Barrie. Using either ex Oloroso Sherry, ex Pedro Ximenez Sherry or ex Port barrels and bottled at their natural cask strengths in a range of between 48% and 61.9% ABV. This GlenDronach single cask from batch 18 has been distilled in 2008 and left for 12 years to mature in one Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon. Only 710 bottles worldwide were produced. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Orange marmalade marries with pistachio praline, red fruits of cranberry and cherry, toasted chestnuts on a winters day, dark fruits of dates and plums with clove and aniseed spice. Palate: Rich and luscious, there’s raisin and dark toffee, summer berries, honey sweetness and some garden herbs. Finish: Long and rich, dried dark fruits and liquorice root..
