The blender Peter Thomson had a strong relationship with the Macallan distillery and this was the reason the Speyside’s malt was incorporated into the blend. Peter’s son David then took over the blending at the companies premises in Perth. Today the brand is owned by Morrison & Mackay and the core bottling of Old Perth is a blended malt aged between four year and six years. The whisky for this bottling of Old Perth The Original has been sourced from spirit matured in ex Sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV with no chill filtration and no added colour. It’s a very tasty drop indeed. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Christmas cake spices, some shaved dark chocolate, cherry and plum. Palate: Sweet notes of cherry conserve, sherry soaked raisins and dark chocolate. Finish: Red berries, raisins and spicy oak.. For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
